It seems on cold mornings, I go to start my car, put the key in, turn it to the accessory position, everything works like normal, then when I go to start the car nothing happens. It takes a couple try's to finally get the car to start, it cranks over and starts just fine. It doesn't always happen.Past 24 Hours: 3. Past 7 Days: 36. Past 30 Days: 174. All Time: 15,207. @olliebob check the wiring from your ignition key. You need to give us your complete model number so we can try to find a wiring diagram. If you have a voltmeter and a friend - measure the voltage at the small wire on the solenoid to ground & have your friend turn the key. If you have 11V or more and nothing happens the solenoid is bad. If you have less than 11V check the wiring between the switch and the solenoid (nuetral switch, loose/dirty/oxidized connections).

Very simple my friend, you need to clean the terminals on the battery and the connection. If you go to Kragen or AutoZone, they sell this battery terminal cleaner for only $1 or $2. Its a 2 in 1 tool.
